Now what should you make for dinner? The world is your oyster. But you don’t really like oysters, so maybe you’ll just poach a trout or something. Ah, that sounds like too much trouble. Maybe it’ll just be pasta tonight.

The size-adaptable electric cooktop heating elements are perfect. You use the triple-ring element, and choose the 9" 2500W setting. You start the pasta going, then put the sauce on.
